First Day of Classes
We look forward to welcoming our students and families back to Jennie Elliott after a restful summer vacation! Please see below for some important dates and information for school start-up and stay tuned as this page will be updated with further information prior to our students returning.
Important Dates
Wednesday, August 27, 2025 - Main office is open for new registration inquiries 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Friday, August 29, 2025 - Welcome email (by 8:00 AM) from your child's new teacher with information about first day of school procedures including when to meet, where to meet, what to bring, bio and pic of teacher, etc. If you do not receive an email, please contact the main office at jennieelliott@cbe.ab.ca.
Tuesday, September 2, 2025 - First day of school for grades K-6. All classes begin at our regular time, 8:41 AM.
Thursday, September 18, 2025 - Welcome Back and Meet the Teacher evening event for families. Times will be announced in early September. More information to come in the Principal's Weekly Update.
Kindergarten
We look forward to seeing our youngest Jennie Elliott Jaguars on the first day of school! All of our AM and PM students will start together at their regularly scheduled times on September 2. See our Office and Bell Times for further information.

Yellow School Bus Transportation
Register for the Yellow Bus Service in your Parent / My CBE Account.
Parking
While we understand the inconvenience of the parking availability around Jennie Elliott, we ask families to please adhere to all parking and traffic laws for everyone’s safety.

School Supplies
Students supplies are provided by the school for children in Kindergarten through Grade 6. Families are to provide indoor shoes, backpacks, lunch, and snacks. You may also choose to send your child with a water bottle.
We ask that students not bring toys from home as we cannot be responsible for items that are broken or lost.
If you would like to participate in the Brown Bagging it 4 Calgary Kids lunch program, please reach out to the front office.
Clubs & Activities
Learning Technologies & Student Wi-Fi
Digital technologies are transforming how we teach our students. We utilize a range of technology tools to personalize each student’s learning experience, including getting connected to Wi-Fi for seamless access to educational resources.
Off-Site Activities
Keep updated on field-trips and other exciting off-site activities throughout the year. We're excited to expand on learning opportunities by stepping outside of the classroom.
