Hello Jennie Elliott Families, 

Today our students participated in their last round with this Family Grouping cohort. After Spring Break they will be with a new cohort of students and a new teacher. Over the past 8 weeks, students have participated in a variety of activities ranging from STEM tasks, a whole-school collaborative art project, cooperative games, and getting-to-know-you activities that connect students with common experiences. Next week in our hallways you will see some artwork and messages students created today focused on the topic of our sense of belonging at Jennie Elliott and the question - How do we help each other feel included, respected, supported and accepted?

We look forward to the next round and opportunities to make new connections! 

Organizing Classes for Next Year  

At the next School Council Meeting on March 19, we will be sharing how we organize our classes for next year. It is a process that is ongoing throughout the year and informed by many different factors, including an opportunity for parent input. It will also be shared through this Weekly Update, so that everyone is informed and aware of their opportunity to engage in the process.  

Student-Led Conferences 

Our students have been busy preparing their Student-Led Conference agendas with many exciting activities to showcase their learning with parents next week! Please also take the opportunity to stop by the lost and found items that will be out in the hallways! If you haven’t already, please sign in to your MyCBE account to sign up for a time to experience your child’s Student-Led Conference. 

School Planning Survey  

The School Planning Survey has been extended to March 22. So far, we have had 37 completed responses. Please consider sharing your feedback to help inform our school planning for the 2024-2025 school year if you have not already. The Jennie Elliott 2024 School Planning Presentation shared at the last School Council meeting will provide more information. This document can also be found in the "Related Information" panel on the right side of this page.
