Sore feet and tired students – that's the sign of a great Spring Fling dance! Thank you to School Council for organizing a fantastic event last evening. Great fun was had by all!
ACTION | Student Enrollment and Class Cohorts Form
We will be re-opening the Student Enrollment and Class Cohorts Parent Engagement Form for another week. This year we will not be asking students to list their top 3 friend favourites in class. Instead, we ask parents to have those conversations to provide the names of students that you feel your child has positive learning and social connections with through this form instead, and only if you wish to. Some parents have already done this in the last question of the form, which makes it easier to reference one place, and for us to recognize that parents and students have the same understanding. That said, while your child may not be placed with all members of a friend group you have identified, we will endeavour to ensure that each student has a friendly face in their class when they begin the new school year.
Volunteer Tea | Save the Date!
We are excited to share that we'll be celebrating our amazing volunteers who have contributed immensely to our successful school year! Volunteers are invited to join us for our Volunteer Tea celebration on Friday, June 7 at 9:30 AM. This event is our way of expressing our gratitude to all the wonderful individuals who have generously given their time and support to our school community. Without their dedication and hard work, we wouldn't have achieved so much this year. Please mark your calendars and save this date. More information to come!
Parking and Traffic Safety Concerns
Members of the community that reside adjacent to the school often express concern to us about cars that have been parking in no parking zones during student drop off and pick up times, particularly those that block private driveways. We have also noticed a number of families letting their students out to cross the road in unsafe ways and making u-turns in the middle of the busy road. While we understand the inconvenience of the parking availability around Jennie Elliott, we ask families to please adhere to all parking and traffic laws for everyone’s safety, out of respect for our neighbours, and to set a good example for our students.
Last Call for Jennie Elliott Merchandise
We will be keeping our Jennie Elliott merchandise store open for two more days. It will close on Sunday night at 11:59pm. Take advantage of the variety of options available on our website Merchandise Page!

Lastly, I will be away next week from Monday to Thursday. Ms. Christine Oliver will be in as Acting Principal in my absence, and she can be reached through the main office should the need arise.
