Hello Jennie Elliott families,
Thank you to all of our volunteers who came to our Volunteer Appreciation Tea to be celebrated and thanked by our staff and students for their contributions to the success of our school community. Our students put on a heartfelt show of gratitude that is always the highlight of the event that included entertainment from each community class, our DHH students, our Division 1 choir and our grade 5/6 Dance Club!
We know everyone’s time is precious, and we appreciate all the opportunities volunteers take to support field trips, fun lunch, classroom activities, courtyard clean-up, library maintenance, bulletin boards, noon-time clubs, special events and many, many more. We couldn't do it without you!
News from School Council
PlayDay Dance Party!
Jennie Elliott School Council is excited to announce a fun new opportunity for all of our students! This year, instead of an evening dance, we are excited to host the Play Day Dance Party, which will take place during PlayDay! That’s right- an afternoon of music, dancing, and fun in the sun for all grades. No tickets are needed, and every student will be able to join in! In the field, we'll have a DJ, group dances, and lots of opportunities to just let loose and show off some dance moves... together!
We know how much Jennie Elliott's students love to dance and celebrate, and we’re confident this new format will be a joyful way for everyone to connect and make memories.
More details about Play Day will be coming soon... but for now, get those dancing shoes ready!
School Council Meeting and AGM
Please join us for our School Council meeting on May 6th when our grade 2 teachers will provide a brief overview of the grade 2 program and we will hear more about our staffing outlook for the 2025-26 school year, amongst other updates from the Principal’s Report. On June 3rd, we will also hold our AGM to elect the Council positions and vote on the budget for next year. If you are interested in volunteering for a School Council position, we are always happy to encourage more involvement on the Council. Please contact jennieelliott1962@gmail.com.
