Hello Jennie Elliott families,

We were happy to welcome parents to share the screening of Screenagers: The Elementary Version, with families this week in our Learning Commons. There were many heads nodding and relatable moments for parents, and perhaps even some relief that they were not alone in the struggle to find balance with screen time for their children. For those who were not able to make it, we have the license to share the docuseries for the next year, so we will be scheduling a few more watch parties in the new school year. Parents also expressed that it would be worthwhile to share the classroom version of this movie with our students over the month of June, so we will provide this opportunity to our teachers as well.

We were also excited to welcome our youngest and upcoming Jennie Elliott Jaguars to the building Thursday evening for the Kindergarten Orientation, as well as our new DHH families that will be joining us in the fall. The chicks that have hatched in the Kindergarten rooms had many visitors they weren't expecting, followed by a long nap!

No Parking Lot Drop Off or Pick Up

We have noticed that some families have been dropping off or picking up students in the staff parking lot. Please note, the parking lot is not zoned for this and the additional cars blocking parking spots pose significant challenges for staff who are leaving or arriving in an already overcrowded parking lot. It is also a dangerous walkway for children, even if they are with their parents. Please consider using the boundaries of the parking lot to get to the compound, instead of walking through the parking lot. Thank you for putting your children’s safety first.

June Spirit Week

We are excited to have our final spirit week to celebrate the last month of the school year! Add these reminders to your calendars and encourage your children to join in the fun!

Spring Spirit Week

Transportation Registration

A reminder that transportation registration is now open. In a System message sent directly to families earlier this month, please note changes to the walk zones meaning more students may be eligible for bus transportation. The News story on our website provides further information regarding eligibility and registration. Families must register by Sunday, June 22, 2025 for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year
