Wishing all of our Jennie Elliott families a joyful and restful Thanksgiving weekend! As we take a moment to pause and reflect on the things we are grateful for, may your weekend be filled with meaningful moments, time with loved ones, and many reasons to give thanks.
Jacket Racket Collection Coming!
In the spirit of building a sense of belonging to our greater community, Jennie Elliott School is excited to be collecting donations of gently used coats, snow pants, hats and mittens for Jacket Racket again this year. Donations will be collected in boxes in the front foyer from October 19 - 23.
Jacket Racket has been providing winter clothing to Calgary children since the 1980’s. Donations are collected, sorted and distributed by a group of dedicated volunteers. The distribution is done through the Calgary Board of Education and the Calgary Catholic School District.
We are also looking for a parent volunteer to take donations to the drop off center on October 26. If you are able to help us this way, please email Mrs. Danchuk (jldanchuk@cbe.ab.ca ).
We encourage families who are able to contribute to consider donating winter items that are clean and in good condition. Together, we can help ensure that children in our community have the warm clothing they need. Thank you for your generosity and support of this worthwhile initiative.

Book Fair
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered their time so far! Your volunteering helps make Book Fair a success for our students. We are still looking for 25+ volunteers for remaining spots for our book fair being held November 23 – 27, 2026.

We are also looking for 2 Book Fair Leads for a full day commitment on either Monday, November 23rd or Thursday, November 26th. Email us jennieelliott1962@gmail.com if you are interested in volunteering as a Book Fair Lead.

Bottle Drive
Donate your bottles to Jennie Elliott. Follow the instructions in the attachment, simply download the Trail Bottle Depot app and add Jennie Elliott as the charity to receive the proceeds for your bottles. Use the app to schedule a pickup and funds are donated directly to Jennie Elliott – it is that easy!
