Hello Jennie Elliott families!

Many of you have already been able to watch the progress of our Outdoor Learning and Naturalization project in the front of the school that has taken place over the last 3 months. We are excited that the project is completed and encourage families to check it out at the Welcome Back & Meet the Teacher event on Thursday!  More to come on the upcoming ceremony day to honour and name this garden and gathering space as an extension of our beautiful school grounds.

A Warm Welcome to Ms. Woelk, Our New Administrative Secretary!

Please help us in welcoming our new Administrative Secretary, Ms. Tavie Woelk, to Jennie Elliott! We are excited to have her join the team starting October 5th, and encourage you to pop by the office to introduce yourselves. Please see Ms. Woelk’s introduction message below:

Hello Jennie Elliott families! I’m very excited to be joining the Jennie Elliott team next month. I had the opportunity to help open my current school last year, and I’ve really enjoyed being part of a school community. I’m looking forward to getting to know our students, families and staff and becoming part of the wonderful Jennie Elliott community. And, just for fun… a little-known fact about me is that I’m a huge Disney fan!  I can’t wait to meet everyone and begin this new adventure at Jennie Elliott!

Your Time Makes a Difference!

Volunteering is a wonderful way to get involved, connect with our school, and make a positive difference in the lives of our students. There are many ways to lend a hand - from helping in classrooms and supporting school events, to volunteering with School Council and our parent-led initiatives. Whether you have an hour once in a while or are able to volunteer regularly, your time and talents are appreciated! Most importantly, students love seeing their families take an active role in their school, and contributes directly to the success of building a welcoming, connected community that makes Jennie Elliott a special place to be.

If you are interested in volunteering, please review the information on the CBE Volunteering webpage. It is important to note, that even if you have a valid Police Clearance, all volunteers must submit the Annual Volunteer Registration Form, linked at the bottom of that webpage.

CBE Caregiver Series

The Calgary Board of Education invites all parents and guardians to join a live online series on supporting child and youth well-being.
