Hello Jennie Elliott families,

Our PlayDay is always the best kind of celebration to end the school year, and this year’s event did not disappoint.  Thank you to our teacher committee and parent volunteers who have been organizing for weeks now. The weather was perfect, and the students were still buzzing with excitement this morning!

We also bid farewell to our gr 6 students at a beautiful certificate ceremony this week. For many of our students they will not be at the same school for this many years again, so the transition feels very big! We know they will revisit their memories of Jennie Elliott many times over in the coming years, and we look forward to their visits in the fall.

For others moving on to new schools, cities and countries, we wish you continued success and joy and are happy Jennie Elliott has been a part of your school journey. 

Return to School

We will be welcoming our students back to school before we know it on August 29 for the first day of school. Our office re-opens on August 26th and you can expect an introduction email from teachers to their students on August 28.

August 29 – First Day of School!

September 19 – Welcome Back and Meet the Teacher Evening

September 27 – Non-instructional Day (no school for students)

Summary

The end of a school year is always bittersweet for all of us. The connections that are made, the accomplishments we share and the routines we are used to when we come together each day are a big part of our lives. The two months of holidays seem like a long time before we are back together.  As we bid good-bye to the 2023-24 school year, we want to wish all of our families the best of summer vacations exploring your interests, enjoying your families and relishing the summer weather.
